Online language school platform

Tobe Language College

The website and student panel for an English school that runs live online classes in groups of up to ten. Learners find their level with a CEFR guide, request a free placement test, pick a class and time from the weekly schedule, pay tuition in their panel and join class in one click.

Challenge

An online language school has to do several things at once: show learners which level to start at, show real class capacity, move enrollment and payment forward without phone back-and-forth, and publish learning content that people can find in search.

Approach

Enrollment is split into four clear steps: a free placement test, choosing a class, paying the invoice in the panel, and joining the live class. The weekly schedule shows day, time, teacher and open seats, and grammar lessons and vocabulary each get their own indexable pages.

Key features

  • CEFR level guide

Levels A1 to C2 are explained in plain language by what a learner can do; choosing a level shows its courses.

  • Class schedule

This week's classes with day, time, teacher and open seats, so learners know where there's room before signing up.

  • Enrollment in four steps

Placement request, class choice with help from admissions, paying the invoice in the panel, and an SMS reminder to join class.

  • Interactive live class

Video and audio for up to ten people, a shared whiteboard, synced audio playback, small-group practice, session vocabulary flashcards and live polls.

  • Learning content

Grammar lessons by level, vocabulary and a multimedia library; each lesson is its own indexable page.

  • Certificate verification

Every course completion certificate can be verified online.
